OC Trident X 8gb 2400mhz
OC Trident X 8gb 2400mhz
Hi Guys
I'm having issues with my ASUS Maximus Vii Gen 4, running a 4790k at 4.4ghz. My Trident X 8Gb supports up to 2400mhz but I can't run the XMP profile. The PC is booting in loop and not responding. I have to force shut down and set it to 2133mhz.
Anyone have a suggestion?
I've tried increasing voltage, testing one stick at a time, resetting the motherboard, and downgrading the BIOS version with OC.
Are you using the appropriate slots? (black, then try the red ones, I hope you're not mixing colors) If correct, verify your dram voltage. If auto is selected, switch to manual and set it to 1.65. If it still doesn't boot, try 1.7 volts but stop further. If that fails again, set manual to 1.65 volts and increase the cas latency by one (from 10 to 11). As a last option, manually adjust all primary timings: 10-12-12-31-2N. Share your findings here.

If correct, verify your DRM voltage. If auto is selected, switch to manual and set 1.65. If it doesn't boot, try 1.7 but stop short. If that fails again, set manual to 1.65 volts and increase the cas latency by one (from 10 to 11). As a final option, manually adjust all primary timings: 10-12-12-31-2N. Share your findings here.
