Will the Corsair H55 AIO be sufficient to keep the i5 9600k running smoothly? The goal is to reach speeds of 5.0 or 5.2 ghz.

Usually not very useful. 120mm coolers, particularly the slimmer models, fall short of meeting basic requirements, let alone supporting a boost to 5.2.

Nope. Probably not a big overclock here. If you're aiming for that requirement, a 240mm radiator or a solid 140mm air cooler (like Noctua, Cryo Original R1, Dark Rock 3/4 Pro) seems reasonable.
