Hello, I’m facing a problem with overclocking that needs some understanding. Whenever I restart my PC or perform basic tasks, I don’t receive any signal from my Asus MG248Q monitor after booting up, even though everything functions properly when I power off and turn it back on. This inconsistency is unusual—I usually get a signal on the second attempt but not the first. My current setup includes an AMD FX 8320 CPU, Sapphire RX 480 GPU, Asrock 970 Extreme3 MOBO, Corsair AX 760i PSU, and 8GB RAM. Right now, I’m only overclocking up to 4GHz, as my MOBO isn’t designed for eight-core processors, and I don’t want to risk damaging it by exceeding the limit. I’ve managed temperatures well so far, but this signal issue is puzzling. Could there be a voltage-related problem? I’m unsure whether increasing or decreasing the voltage would help, especially since I’m still learning about overclocking.

Is your board the initial revision or version 2.0? If it's the first revision, the CPU isn't supported. For the second revision, overclocking shouldn't be attempted since the board can only handle a 125w CPU.

For better cooling of the CPU and its nearby parts, install a CPU cooler with a top-down airflow design. This warning applies to 125w CPUs due to the board's inadequate thermal design.

Is your board the initial revision or version 2.0? If it's the first revision, the CPU isn't supported. For the second revision, overclocking isn't recommended since the board struggles with a 125W CPU.

For better CPU and component cooling, install a CPU cooler featuring a top-down airflow design.

They issued this caution for 125W CPUs due to the board's inadequate thermal design.

The board is version 2.0, and I'm using a Cooler Master EVO 212 cooler with two fans, which provides efficient cooling and performs well.

Likely to postpone OC until I secure another MOBO. Avoided it since I was reviewing Ryzen and DDR4, but that's okay.
