OC not good for MOBO
OC not good for MOBO
I think the mobo isn't suitable for my overclocking goals. I have a ga78lmtusb3 with an fx 6300, but I can't even push it a little bit. If I try, the bios warns me about 'experienced boot failures due to overclocking.' It's really frustrating, I just want to play at 60 fps. Any advice?
Budget AM3+ motherboards are well-known for their weak overclocking capabilities. Even a slight boost wouldn't meaningfully enhance your PC's gaming performance. A better focus might be on upgrading the graphics card—justifying a high-end model like the 1050ti for this CPU. It’s unlikely you’ll gain much more speed from the CPU itself, nor would it make sense to switch platforms or invest in another CPU at this time.
