OC my i5 750
Samir, you're correct about the lifetime. However, if this one dies, it will do so with the honor of delivering its best performance. Eleven years ago, when I built this baby, my goal was to extend its lifespan. I planned to replace it after eight years, but it ended up lasting eleven. Along the way, my wife, three children, a dog, a horse, and a house came along, but the new computer didn't make the cut. ;-)
Great! I understand the situation—life keeps moving forward!
Remember, if you hit the 750 mark, you can still grab the x3470 and enjoy more overclocking possibilities.
😀
Just make sure to save a dvd with a 'classic' Windows setup on it. By then, the OS might feel more like SaaS overall.
Thank you for the tips, I hadn't considered that before—it's solid advice. I'll store the OS on a flash drive. Hopefully he continues this until I get the new one. 😊
I'd just grab this DVD drive for a low price (and maybe some backups):

And then keep a backup copy of the installation DVD, as those won't degrade.
I just don't understand why the Radeon software keeps showing marginal performance. I didn't make any changes and it went from optimal to marginal. When the computer is idle the CPU temperature is 34 degrees, during internet it's 43 degrees and when playing the game it reaches up to 63 degrees. That still seems normal to me. How come the Radeon software again indicates marginal performance? The only times the computer has problems are when I try to browse, play a game and use Radeon software and NZXT. If I switch between programs quickly, the CoD MW3 crashes. Yesterday I achieved an FPS of 114, now it's only 54.5. Could you help me understand this better?
Hey there... just in case you're worried about any harm, I'm not familiar with OC and will defer the explanation to someone else.
