could it be feasible to overclock an i5 6600k using a h110i gt watercooler to 4.6GHz with an msi z170a-g45 gaming board and corsair rmx series rm750x 80 plus gold, setting the voltage to 1.320v and ring frequency at 3900mhz?
Sometimes people on this forum become very upset because they invested a lot of money in a flash PC with a K series CPU, but it can't be overclocked past 4.2GHz.
It happens to me too... I just have to accept it.
When building a PC, you could end up with a powerful overclocker or you might end up with a dog.
If your CPU is very lucky, then yes.
If it's unlucky, then no.
Each CPU behaves differently.
I own two identical AMD Phenom II CPUs on the same motherboards. One is overclocked to 4Ghz (excellent for a Phenom), the other only to 3.45Ghz (not so great).
