OC gt 730
OC gt 730
Mine is a Nvidia GT 730 with 4GB DDR5 RAM. I realized my GPU isn’t very powerful, so I thought memory was key while purchasing. I’m not expecting a new GPU soon, so I felt it was time to proceed.
Here are my PC details:
- Intel i7 4770K, 3.5GHz
- Kingston 8x2 16GB RAM
- Antec 750W power supply
- 1TB Seagate HDD
- Asus H81M-CS motherboard
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Nvidia GeForce GT 730 with 4GB DDR5 by Zotac
No external cooler is installed.
I’m trying to understand what steps I should take now, especially since I only plan to use this for a short time—like just a few games such as 3rd person WWII Crisis 3. I don’t want to risk damaging my GPU in a year, so I’m being careful.
What do you anticipate before we discuss overclocking? If you achieve a 10% boost, starting at 20 fps, the maximum improvement you'll notice might be around 22 fps.

I’m trying to follow this replacement guide. How much will it actually help me? For example, in games like 3rd person WWII Crisis 3, just about 30 FPS on the lowest setting. The same applies to Crysis. I don’t expect my GPU to fail after a year, so I’m not rushing. Please let me know if you can return it.
Before we dive into overclocking, what do you hope to achieve? If you manage a 10% boost, starting at 20 fps, the maximum improvement would be around 22 fps.
I don’t know how much the 730 would overclock, and I haven’t seen any reviews for it, which makes sense since it isn’t a gaming card. You can only try it yourself, but I wouldn’t expect much performance. Look up GPU overclocking guides online—they’ll give you more information than this post. If you get stuck or need clarification, feel free to ask here.
I'm not sure how much the 730 would be able to overclock, I haven't seen any reviews about it. It's not usually considered a gaming card, so people probably wouldn't want to overclock it.
