I'm testing my 8600k overclock and have been running it for 2 hours without any issues at 1.2v and 4.8MHz. The temperatures are around 65°-75°, and the frequency mostly stays between 3.8-4.3MHz, though it does occasionally reach 4.8MHz. Is this typical?

Are you certain you performed an origin check? Could you provide the full system specifications?

I tried various settings to reach 5.0mhz with 1.3v, but during the stress test prime95 it would fail. I lowered it to 4.9 and still failed. Now I'm at 4.8 at 1.2v, no failures so far except frequency issues. CPU temps stay around max 80, mostly between 65-75.

It's about whether the clock frequency needs to stay steady at 4.8 throughout the stress test for it to function properly.
