Can you use your 4690k with the stock cooler a bit, or should you hold off until you get a Corsair cooler?

you can push it to its limits as much as possible without raising the voltage. it might perform better. avoid changing the voltage until you get a replacement.

well since we're discussing fun stuff... you could lower it and achieve really low temperatures too. even with stock cooler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SFh4LA_byE i did it with my i7. my results: be careful though, you might lose your chip if you mess up.

Sure, I'll wait and figure out what to get for a cooler. Since you have an Antec 902 case, you won't be able to fit a long style radiator.

skip the watercooling part. The H7 is a solid choice. A more durable upgrade to the H5 universal is available for about $46 as well.
