Hello, I’ve got a brand new PC after my old one stopped working, and I’m not sure how to boot it up. I have access to my files through a SATA/USB adapter, but I’m aware some programs might be installed elsewhere than the Program Files folder.

Finding "installed programs" usually requires using Windows itself. The details should likely be stored in system files or the registry, which can be tricky to reach. You might consider launching it as a virtual machine. Physical disks can sometimes serve as VM storage, allowing you to boot your old Windows setup in a simulated environment.

If you encounter problems during installation on the new PC, I'll try it. Thanks!

The installation is limited to specific folders. Unless you select another location, like C:\Steam, it’s hard to access the files. You might not run them, but you can check what’s available.

Many recent tools automatically place themselves in the user's profile folder, bypassing the need for admin permissions to set up.

I believe Discord handles that, as it appears in AppData instead of Program Files.

That's correct, it's one of them.
