Observing BSODs in particular games
Recently, I've experienced a high number of BSODs on my system. They only appear when launching specific games. Titles such as Doom Eternal and Road 96 crash immediately, whereas games like Titanfall 2 and CSGO run smoothly. Temperatures stayed normal throughout. My graphics drivers are fully updated, and so is the BIOS. I set XMP to default, removed all display drivers and reinstalled them, but that didn't resolve the issue. My last attempt was uninstalling Valorant to rule out anti-cheat interference. None of these steps worked. I suspect a hardware problem, though I haven’t seen any visual glitches. My specs are a 6750xt with 32GB RAM, a 650W PSU, and a 5600Hz. Most components were new within the past few months. I really need your advice—this situation has made me seriously consider buying my last gaming PC. Here’s a summary of one of my crash dump analyses from WinDbg.
Check your NVMe driver issues. Remove existing chipset drivers and install the official AMD versions. Avoid third-party options unless you specify your motherboard model.
You're planning to test your B550M PG Riptide. Good luck, and let me know how it goes!
It points the blame at the NVMe interface. You might also consider updating the SSD firmware—most systems require using manufacturer-specific tools such as Samsung Magician for Samsung drives. Keep in mind that the system can't determine if the problem lies with the SSD itself or with the motherboard or M.2 port. A faulty SSD is more frequent, but you could verify the other slots if your device supports multiple NVMe connections. If your card is near the GPU or exposed to excessive heat from it, overheating might be the issue. Updating the BIOS of the motherboard can also be beneficial. I recommend using the built-in in-BIOS updater rather than updating via Windows on an unstable setup. If your board lacks flashback protection, a crash during a BIOS update could permanently damage the motherboard.
