Hi there, I understand you're dealing with a problem on your new build. The display drivers stopped working around the middle of installation, and now the screen goes blank even though the PC stays on. It sounds like the issue started after Windows was freshly installed. You've tried many fixes—different monitors, cables, driver updates, and even the official AMD driver—but nothing seems to work. Since the motherboard is functioning normally, it might be a driver conflict or compatibility issue. Have you checked if any other devices are showing similar problems?

It seems normal for the screen to refresh after a short delay, yet @Daniel_1104 reports it remains black—unexpected for a display. Can you access Windows Safe Mode during the installation of the drivers? It appears this issue may point to a driver-related problem, and repeated occurrences across different drivers are concerning. Have you attempted a CMOS or BIOS reset?

That's correct—it shuts off and won't restart. I attempted a clear CMOS and BIOS reset, but I'm not sure what to do next.

Let’s review the scenario you described. You applied the drivers, but the screen froze during installation. After waiting to confirm completion, you restarted the computer. However, when you tried to launch Windows afterward, it didn’t appear at all, leaving only a blank display.

That's accurate. The system appears functional, yet it doesn't show any output. I'm avoiding the driver update since it's the initial one required for stability.

Each time the screen goes black, I need to reset Windows to view properly.

This is starting to sound like a defective chip. With a full reinstall of Windows, it should clear up any driver weirdness from a bad download. And you said you tried several different versions of the driver, so it shouldn't be a problem with the most recent update or something. The only other things I can think to try is to see if it works when only one RAM stick is installed. (Because the iGPU uses the RAM, if that has a problem, it can mess up the graphics, but it's unlikely) Another thing you could try is to specifically get a much older driver version, but that seems like a long shot to work, too. AMD does offer previous drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-...en-7-5700g

I just completed testing everything again and got the same outcome. I’ll have to think it might be a CPU problem.
