I recall that when I first set up Windows on my two personal computers, they didn’t have the "N" edition, and now they do. It wouldn’t be an issue, but it seems you can’t reinstall regular Windows 10 Pro without purchasing another product key. Anyone know how to handle this?

Windows n is essentially Windows with the required EU regulation about selecting a media player. By default, Windows media player isn’t installed, you must decide whether to install it. Apart from that, there’s almost no distinction — it’s just Windows 10.

It's true, the standard edition lacks many media and app features found in the premium version.

It's also because Black Ops 3 fails to function properly. Many users encounter this problem repeatedly, even after reinstalling Windows.

Install the Windows media packs for black ops and other games that rely on built-in codecs. You should be able to do this. I’ll look for a link.

Attributing the issue to the EU for enforcing "choice" seems like a stretch.

Well it's a problem when trying to run games like GTA and COD. They shouldn't be able to change your windows version if you can't change it back. There's probably a winnable lawsuit there. I already tried, there are 2 media pack updates and they didn't make a difference.

I don't reside within the EU, so I attribute the changes to Windows.

you can't change from N to regular. One of the machines is a Dell and the other is an HP. Never had N (refer to OP).
