I have an RTX 2080 and use an older Roku TV as a secondary display to watch videos while playing games. The TV connects via HDMI, and my main monitor, an ASUS, is connected through a DisplayPort link. Recently, this issue has occurred whenever a game launches on the main screen. It switches to fullscreen, then my monitor goes dark for a moment before returning to normal. Playing games becomes difficult when I try to switch monitors or exit the game. After these actions, the primary screen flashes black and barely displays anything, forcing me to rely solely on the second monitor. This is frustrating and hasn’t improved with any troubleshooting steps. I suspect an interaction problem between the two screens, but I’m not sure what to do next!

Check if this applies universally across all games, verify GPU driver status, ensure Windows updates are installed, confirm cables are intact and properly connected.

I agree with most of these points, unfortunately. At least I don’t think it’s a cable problem since each monitor functions perfectly with just one plug in. Regarding games, it appears to be mostly what I’ve tried, with the exception of Genshin Impact.
