When I raise the monitor's frequency above 60Hz, it becomes darker. The change doesn't happen when adjusting between 60-100Hz or 120-165Hz, it remains consistent.

Have you verified the display configurations? It might be activating Game Mode at a rate higher than 60Hz, resulting in distinct settings compared to standard 60Hz operation.

It connects to a high-end RX 6600 by ASRock. The screen uses an MSI G27C4 E3 model.
