I own a new crucial mx500 SSD that boots slowly, taking over 20 seconds on the BIOS splash screen and more than 6 seconds on Windows login. Compared to my older laptop with an old SSD, this is significantly slower. I disabled all unnecessary startup items and tried a minimal safe boot, but it didn’t help. The latest SSD firmware is up to date. I also have an HDD installed, but all installation files are stored on the SSD—after fresh installing Windows 10 onto the new SSD, I disconnected the HDD. What else can I do? I’d prefer not to reinstall Windows or change BIOS settings unless absolutely necessary.

Consider disconnecting the HDD to see if it changes anything. Check the BIOS settings for any unnecessary features enabled.

Attempted, but no noticeable changes. Bios remain unchanged.

What kind of motherboard are you using? Which SATA port is connected to it? Apart from the other hard drive, what additional components are linked to the motherboard and also located at the back and front of the case? Most of the time, the focus is on the post setup, boot order detection, and peripherals. Once that's handled, Windows takes over after about six seconds.

This motherboard supports HDD to Sata3 at port 5 and SSD to another Sata3 at port 2. The specific port assignments don't affect functionality.

Shouldn't, but in terms of bios detecting boot device if OS drive was connected to first Sata port labelled 0 might improve detection time, probably small difference though. Won't need to reinstall Windows so no loss giving it a go. Try connect your secondary drive to Sata 1 as well.

Do you have Gigabyte App Centre or any other Gigabyte software set up? If yes, attempt to uninstall it. App Centre is known for causing sluggish startup times. In general, any software provided by a motherboard manufacturer tends to add more problems than solutions.

I attempted this but it had no impact.
I also don't have any gigabyte available.
