Thanks for the reply. When playing Valorant, temperatures reach around 60°C to 70°C (about 20% CPU usage). I wasn’t worried about installing other games because I was concerned the high CPU could push it up to 90°C during intense sessions like AC Odyssey or Warzone. For tracking, I’ve used several programs, but Ryzen Master and HWinfo seem to work best. Yesterday I swapped the stock thermal paste for AMD and applied Arctic MX-4, making sure everything was secure. I’m considering a new aftermarket cooler, possibly the Arctic Freezer 34 esports DUO, but I’m unsure what maximum temperatures it can handle. I’m fine with the default voltage, though I think voltage spikes are likely the real cause of these temperature jumps—something that shouldn’t happen whether I’m idle, lightly loaded, or gaming.
Attempted to eliminate stock AMD thermal paste and used the new Arctic MX-4; only a slight drop of around 4°C was observed during idle and gaming, but Cinebench still reached 95°C. Considering the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO as an alternative.
