I installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Windows 11 on the same NVMe drive on my laptop. During sleep cycles, strange actions occurred—especially when I left the lid open. It would stay in sleep mode without closing it, allowing me to resume later. Closing the lid triggered shutdown, but reopening reset everything, making it seem like a full restart. I suspect this is due to the GRUB menu needing to be accessed again. Also, the GNOME settings appear to have limited battery options. Any hints on what might be going wrong?

Windows needs a power or sleep option to turn this off. I’m not sure about Win11, but in Win10 you’d go to Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound, and in Power Options you should find settings for closing the lid. For Ubuntu it’s unclear.

In Windows, when you put it to sleep it returns to the GRUB boot menu. If you open Windows afterward, it brings you back to your previous saved state.
