Xsplit adds features OBS lacks, such as advanced streaming controls and integration options. The broadcaster handles live broadcasts, while the gamecaster manages in-game content and overlays.

It's only beneficial if you own the premium version, while OBS is simpler and more user-friendly.

I can only discuss Obs and XSplit because I’ve used both. Obs is the free tool that streams and records, and it has evolved significantly since its inception—it now handles everything XSplit does, though updates take a few months. XSplit is the paid option that offers similar capabilities, but it receives regular updates; however, it can sometimes be quite unstable. I favor Obs, but if you’re aiming for reliable recording, XSplit might be better despite its occasional bugs.

No, I'm not saying that. It's just a question about recording quality with OBS or XSplit.

I prefer OBS for its flexibility, though it can be tricky to position sources compared to Xplit, which lets you drag and resize them easily. Xplit offers both free and paid options, and I suggest the paid version for added features like Skype integration. OBS receives updates more often, while Xplit maintains them less frequently.

In Obs, you simply drag and resize elements as needed.
