OBS streaming experiencing delays, frame rates are satisfactory.
When I begin broadcasting, the recording appears to have good resolution and frame rates; however, during gameplay, there’s no drop in performance. Once I start streaming the video for viewing on platforms like YouTube or Twitch, it becomes choppy and the picture quality deteriorates. My computer consists of an i5-6600k processor paired with a 750ti graphics card and 8GB of RAM. I typically stream at 720p/60fps using a bitrate of 2500kbps, and my upload speed is approximately 90mbps. Consequently, recording works without issues, but the streamed video that my audience observes suffers from lag. I’m utilizing OBS for streaming.
Refer to this video to determine necessary adjustments within the software; it occurred for me as well, and your computer is operating correctly. By following the instructions and watching the content, you’ll prevent streaming and recording lag. However, anticipate occasional frame rate decreases in certain games—this is unavoidable. After approximately ten minutes of streaming or recording, your stream will stabilize along with your game; it simply requires some time and tolerance. To date, I haven’t discovered a superior method, so this is the approach I'm currently employing.
