OBS issues
I was attempting to capture Titanfall with OBS, but the output videos display extremely low frame rates—far below 30 fps. Since you have an AMD FX 6300, encoding might be challenging, but there are adjustments you can make to boost performance. Consider tweaking encoding settings such as resolution, bitrate, and codec options to find a better balance between quality and speed.
Play Titanfall in a windowed setting and monitor the OBS bit rate during recording. If the block turns red and frames begin dropping, the issue is likely with your CPU.
Consider purchasing a new CPU. With an NVIDIA GPU, you might explore ShadowPlay using H.264.
top choice surpasses obs with intel and quicksync; shadowplay doesn't match 5760x1080 yet
I also use shadowplay, but I'm considering capturing my gameplay via OBS and broadcasting it on Twitch with shadowplay.
Who would enjoy such a high resolution video? Platforms like YouTube don’t handle it well.
It seems YouTube has limitations when displaying videos in full screen across multiple monitors.
It seems OBS might let you adjust your encoder settings, preferably using H.264 or x.264 formats. Bandicam also supports H.264 without noticeable performance loss, similar to ShadowPlay.
Most viewers don’t use surround monitors, which means high-resolution uploads can appear poor to nearly everyone.
I’m working with a Pentium G3258, streaming or recording using obs… At around 3800MHz on top of it, there’s something running in the background that’s really messing with me.
