It seems your microphone is being picked up by the system instead of OBS. You might want to reinstall the drivers for it.

I'll give it a shot, though it seems to fail on Obs. It functions elsewhere like Teamspeak and in-game chat.

The noise gate configuration might be affecting your audio input. Some programs tend to reduce microphone levels gradually, which can trigger the mic to stop detecting sound.
