When starting Minecraft it works fine, but OBS Minecraft stops with a message about Java binary issues. This only started recently. My friend suggested checking RAM usage and reducing it. I have 4GB of the 16GB dedicated, but it still crashes. Please help. Thanks!

Do you see the game app or the whole desktop? Consider reinstalling Java, the correct one.

It seems Minecraft 1.11.2 is running smoothly with the latest Java version. The new GeForce Game driver appears to be working, though I haven’t updated the entire system yet.
