Hello, I’m experiencing problems with my Kraken Z73 and AM5 9800X3D. The idle temperatures range between 50-60°C while load is between 95-96. The liquid temperature stays steady at 31°C and remains unchanged. The pump runs at 2500-2600 RPM. Possible causes could include pump alignment or sensor calibration. I’ve changed the pump position to the top and adjusted the radial flow direction so tubes sit at the bottom instead of the top.

The load temperatures measured between 95-96°C indicate the heat generated during operation. This could reflect normal usage or a stress test depending on context.

I ran a stress test, but adding a game to Steam caused it to rise to about 75 to 80.

Then thats fine an 75-80c is completely normal for a 9800X3D while installing a game. Downloading / installing a game actually requires quite a lot of CPU power. Have a look through this thread from Monday where someone wondered about the temperatures on the Ryzen 7000/9000 CPU's. This should answer your questions regarding the temps and also inform you on why you are seeing such high temperatures.

The temperatures seem normal, but the liquid stays around 31 while the room is 21 degrees. It persists even when the load changes.

Hello everyone! I fixed the problem by changing a few important settings. I moved the radiator from a side-mounted position (with pipes at the top) to a top-mounted design and reapplied the thermal paste. These changes led to noticeable improvements: idle temps dropped to 45°C, and heavy tasks reached 60-85°C. CPU-Z and Cinebench stress tests hit a maximum of 92°C. Thanks a lot to @Hinjima for the assistance!

These processors perform well under heat, but they can get warm during use. It's time to dive into gaming with that powerful CPU!
