Has looked through other forum discussions about this issue and hasn't found anyone who actually replied confirming whether it worked or not. Is the NZXT g12 compatible with XFX RX 580 8GB graphics cards? Seeking insights from users who have tried it.
My current setup is:
[link to product page]
But I'm also curious if others have used it with different versions of the 8GB model.
For those not doing an upgrade, I won't be replacing it with a 1070 or any other card. I'm opting for watercooling instead of overclocking, thank you.

In all truth, the questions we often see on forums are mainly about quick solutions without much context, which is why I initially jumped to that conclusion. Please keep in mind that in the coming responses, it would be helpful to start with steps already addressed, making everything clearer and more efficient.

I personally don’t have a definitive answer either—after doing thorough research for a month and still not finding a clear solution. The price is reasonable ($30), and if it doesn’t work out, you might be able to get your money back. It seems important that they’ve checked compatibility with an RX 580, and their page should reflect that update, even though I haven’t confirmed it myself.

Non-reference AIB cards will have varying power delivery arrangements compared to the standard design. Understanding the specific card model is essential. A connection would be beneficial for both sides.

Yes, Lutfij is correct and would require confirmation whether the PCB is a reference... most of these adapters depend on a particular board design, typically referencing AMD or Nvidia specifications.

Did you check the information yourself? I quickly saw it on the NZXT page for the G12. The model number 580 isn't there. Would you like me to look into it further?

I confirmed with an NZXT representative that it "should fit." I'm curious if others have tried it.

It appears you received your answer and NZXT should revise their page to match their stance on the RX 580 being compatible with their cooler. These cards have been available for some time, indicating a need for better updates on supported hardware. The phrase "should fit" still raises concerns for me. This suggests they provided an answer without fully backing it up.

Maybe it would be better to share the specific details you found and the conversations you had with NZXT when you first posted. That way, we can confirm you've already explored the matter rather than starting from scratch. Your message seems to imply I should have already done this.

Sorry, I think I just assume I've completed my homework. But nowadays it seems like people just want an answer without putting in any effort. I've been looking into this for about a month and would rather not break my card until I have a clear idea about whether I need to install a shim. I guess I'll have to place the order and face the consequences. I might opt for a full processor overclock and wait until I'm sure it will work.

I completely agree with your assessment. It would be better to start by outlining steps that have already been addressed, which should make our next answers clearer and more helpful.
