In reality, I'm completely unsure. It seems like it should function properly in theory. Maybe reaching out to Asus would be a good next step...

They merely advise bringing it to the service center

The M.2 slot is configured as NVMe, not AHCI, and it uses SATA instead of RAID.

I don't know much about it but searched on the internet for that but I couldn't find some settings on the bios which I saw on the net. And yeah sata configuration was set to AHCI and there is no mode to change that. And also there is a nvme configuration but there is nothing to change. And my sata SSD details just shows in nvme configuration as nvme device.

I also attempted to use a USB SSD enclosure. The old SSD appears in the BIOS, but it doesn’t show up even when placed inside the USB enclosure.

It might be a DOA NVMe SSD. Have you tried it on another device? USB adapters usually support only SATA M.2 SSDs, either NVMe or regular. The ideal approach is to test it on a known working NVMe port.

I purchased this item, and my enclosure is compatible with both NVMe and SATA. However, in the BIOS it should display the storage device correctly. I also attempted to install an OS via the enclosure and a bootable USB, but the installation process started but failed when selecting partitions—indicating the system thought Windows couldn't install there.

It displays this format, but it hasn't been transformed into GPT yet.
