I bought a new SSD to upgrade my system after the two HDDs stopped working properly. It functioned well until I began storing data on it and kept receiving errors about an unrecognized device. I’m trying to determine if I’ve reached the maximum capacity or if the drive itself is defective. I removed one of the four SATA slots to install the new SSD, intending to move all data from my two HDDs and then reinstall the removed drive.

To note, the new drive isn’t listed in Samsung Magician Specs for Windows 11 Pro Gigabyte B660 with the BIOS version F28a. It’s labeled as a Samsung 870 EVO 4TB, but it doesn’t appear to be recognized. All other drives show proper names, which makes this unusual. I suspect there might be an issue with the drive or its identification.
