It seems the issue might have started after the fresh installation. Once I ran the initial tests on version 1809, everything worked smoothly at full speed. After installing the remaining components and updating to version 1903, the performance dropped noticeably.

The XPG SX8200 Pro offers the same specifications as the S40G, yet it’s priced lower. The difference lies in its design and features, not in the technical details listed.

I encountered issues with a specific Windows 10 Insider release earlier, possibly linked to it. I own that version and its performance matches the Samsung 970 EVO Plus, yet it stays about 15°C cooler. Excellent storage solution!

I own a 256GB SX8200 Pro in my living room as the boot drive. At first I used a 2TB HDD, but the slow startup times bothered me. Now I switched to a 2TB SATA SU800 Ultimate, which boots faster than my own PC here, though it’s not as large. Haha

SX8200 is a solid option, though I haven't found anyone selling it. Its speed is just marginally slower than the 970 EVO Plus but more affordable. Meanwhile, the 970 EVO Plus offers around 90$ for 256GB while my XPG costs only 50$, which feels like a better deal. That's why I chose this one.
