NVME is present in the BIOS yet absent from the disk management interface.
I recently purchased a Crucial P3 M.2 NVMe 2TB 1TB 500GB Gen3 PCIe3 drive. The BIOS lists it as NVMe and appears in Device Manager, but when I try to create a partition in Disk Management for the newly installed NVMe, it doesn’t show up on the list.
You probably should format the drive first before creating partitions.
Start by setting up the SSD. Use the mini tool partition wizard for this process. The Windows Storage Manager functions best via the command prompt.
Did you purchase the Crucial P3 from Amazon? There were many fake listings and defective units available. Please return it if possible. For a comparable option in the same price range, the WD blue SN570 proved to be a reliable choice for me.
I found the fix online. I checked the storage areas and successfully set up a new NVMe space from there.
