NVME 970 Evo Plus failed after data storage was completed.
It's only been around six months and just 7TB have been written. (it's a 1TB storage device) I attempted to use chkdsk to repair it, but it kept saying the disk was write-protected. Eventually, after some effort, I thought about formatting, but now new partitions won't work. I'm seeing a CRC error when data is read. Most sources suggest running chkdsk, but I can't because there are no partitions to target. I've checked BIOS updates, driver changes, and even Linux, but everything fails when I try to interact with the drive. Do any of you have solutions or know if this drive is permanently unusable?
Use the identical drive that’s nearly two years old; it has double the written TB, and its drive condition remains solid.
