You're facing some tricky issues with your new Nvidia shield 2nd gen setup. It seems the HDCP compliance problem is affecting only certain apps like Netflix and Prime, while others work fine. You've tried using a 2.1 8K HDMI cable and swapped ports, but it's still not solving the issue. The HDCP 2.2 support on your TV is confirmed, so the likely culprits are either the cable itself or the HDMI port/connector on the shield. Since other devices function properly, it might be a compatibility or port-specific problem. For a budget-friendly option, look for HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI cables that are affordable and check if your TV supports them. If you need further guidance, let me know!

Do you own a PC monitor that supports HDMI? I suggest testing it since this type of problem is common in genuine Android TV boxes and may involve issues with the connection not establishing properly.

Tested my electricQ 4K display and nitro 1080p screen. Both struggled to play videos without the HDCP problem. Starting to think the HDMI shield port might be faulty. Halting the connection now to avoid issues.

Just a thought. Its not rooted by any chance? That would block use of any DRM-moderated apps from Play store.
