I have an Asus monitor that is 1080p 144hz. The Nvidia control panel shows my native resolution as 1680x1080 at 144, I have tried making a custom res to fix it does not work (only at 60hz), but games when fullscreen, fullscreen at 1680x1080. Is there any way to reset it, or change my native resolution? I already did a clean install for nvidia drivers.

Check the model number? Have you experimented with a different input? If it's HDMI, switch to DP. If not, try another cable.

model number is asus vg249. I switched to a different cable and the hdmi signal stopped reaching 144hz. This occurred after I adjusted some settings, and I’m unsure what changes I made.

Adjust your display configuration, the issue should resolve.

Check your monitor configuration through the built-in settings or software tools. Apologies, I’m not familiar with this process yet.

Update the OSD settings directly within the monitor's OS.

When you changed the HDMI cable, did it acknowledge that the monitor can handle 1080p? If yes, your DisplayPort cable might be faulty and you just need to swap it. Another possibility is to clear the driver using DDU and reinstall it.

My friend shared the same experience (ddu)—it functioned properly and everything is fine now.
