I've been considering boosting the VRAM on my laptop's processor. Is this a secure approach? What precautions should I keep in mind?
I found some online discussions, but few specifically address laptop VRAM overclocking.
According to Nvidia Inspector, the specs are:
Nvidia 840m
Memory size: 2048MB
Bus width: 64 bit (14.4 GB/s)
Memory type: DDR3 (samsung)
Current memory clock: 900 MHz
The device is an HP Envy 15
Please let me know if you need any assistance.

I don't suggest overclocking any laptop GPU since most devices can handle it without lasting damage. RAM overclocking is similar to boosting the memory speed.
