I play a game called satisfactory, and even though I don’t face any issues with its performance, someone raised a concern about slowdowns. The person suggested checking the game folder and removing the ngx files. I checked my own files, and it seems the game always generates a fresh ngx folder each time it runs. What confuses me is why someone would advise deleting those folders, since mine appear to be completely empty.

it is a cache directory for NVIDIA GPUs
it may contain files, though it isn't required
probably if it functions properly, the GPU driver saves data there and when the game shuts down, it removes it again
my assumption:
NGX is AI-based, so if issues arise it doesn't delete itself and the next time the game or app fails to start due to corrupted files
