Whenever I turn on the numlock key, it also displays an asterisk on the right side of the numpad. The numbers on the numpad follow this pattern: 7 types 7 and 9, 4 types 4 and 6, 1 types 1 and 3, 0 types 0 and period. I've already cleaned the motherboard and restarted my computer, and this issue occurs on other computers as well.

if applicable; go back to the store for a refund or replacement.
if covered by warranty; send the item back to the manufacturer.
if not; buy a new one.
