Hey there. My laptop, an Acer Aspire E15, didn’t come with Windows—just Linux (Linpus). I added a Windows 10 trial (Version 15xx, just before the anniversary edition) and everything was fine. Gaming ran smoothly thanks to the NVIDIA 940M, and even though it got warm, it was worth the cost. After installing the Anniversary Update, Home edition, things slowed down during games like GTA V and Battlefield 1, plus Premiere Pro opened my app and made the PC slow. It turned out there was an ntoskrnl bug that would start the HDD when certain apps launched, using all the drive and slowing everything down. I tried changing the HDD state to Active, but it didn’t help. I even tried an Insider Preview with Game Mode, but nothing worked. Now I’m back to the original Windows version that worked well, and I’m thinking about installing the Creators update to see if it fixes things. Would it be possible to install the Home version of Windows 10 alongside my Enterprise setup, and switch back to Enterprise if needed?
