I have an old machine d520 running Windows Vista, but it keeps showing the error "Ntldr missing, press ctrl+alt+spr to restart". I checked the BIOS, adjusted the boot sequence, restored everything to defaults, but nothing worked. I also tried installing other versions of Windows like XP, Vista, 7, and 10, but none of them booted properly—Vista and 7 got stuck on a black screen, and Windows 10 just froze at the logo. I’m not sure why I can’t even install Windows now.

Corrupted installation detected. It seems you're attempting to install from UEFI ready media, but your computer only supports legacy boot. The Windows 10 64-bit version might not work on your older system. Consider using Windows 10 32-bit instead.

It loads but I can't see any hard drive, could be a hardware problem?

Download the drivers initially, then unpack the zip archive. Place the extracted folder onto the installation disk and proceed with the setup.

So I didn't download any drivers, but none of them work. If I check the box "hide non compatible controllers," nothing appears. I also installed the incompatible ones, but still nothing. Tried using both links—drivers.x32 and drivers.AHCI.x32—but neither is compatible.

Verify BIOS configurations on your laptop.
Search for SATA controller mode. It must be configured as AHCI, not RAID.

Only two choices remain—IDE or AHCI. It was set to IDE, so I switched it, but none of the listed drivers from that site work.
EDIT: Unclear if this matters, but I'm attempting to install W10 32-bits (perhaps the problem is there).
