I haven't encountered this issue with my Asrock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac when using different RAM types. At that specific speed, I don't use Crucial. Be cautious about updating your BIOS if your system is in an unstable phase—corruption during writing could happen. In such cases, lowering the RAM speed to 2133 first is safer at lower voltage. Upgrading the BIOS is recommended if you're not using the newest version, especially with a Zen 2 CPU, since recent updates greatly enhance RAM compatibility, particularly at higher speeds.

On my ASRock B450 there are no RAM compatibility problems. I'm using 4x8 sticks (2x8 2133mhz CL14 Patriot 2x8 V-Color Skywalker 3600mhz CL18) all set to 2666mhz CL18. Just make sure the memory controller on the board matches what your RAM supports in terms of speed or OC/DC settings. It seems you manually configured the RAM to match the advertised speeds, not the DOCP/XMP settings, which likely caused the issues. As long as your CPU's memory controller also supports those speeds and you tighten the timing, it should work smoothly.
