Hey there! It seems like your notepad files aren't showing up in your task bar. I noticed you can pin images, folders, and PDFs easily, but when you drag a .txt file to the task bar and see "Pin to Notepad," nothing happens. Also, right-clicking a pinned shortcut doesn’t bring up the usual options. Switching to .txt files in Notepad++ works fine for you. Could there be a different setting or extension involved? Let me know!

Create a quick link to the file on your desktop and then relocate it to the taskbar.

Same outcome, no changes occur when attempting to pin it:

Select your document, choose 'Create Shortcut', adjust the path by adding 'notepad', then place the shortcut on the taskbar.

This adds a distinct icon to the task bar for easy access. It’s useful for future reference, and now it works well with just a few files pinned under Notepad. I can right-click the pinned icon on the taskbar and choose the file I need. The reason is I manage many Notepad documents frequently.

Sure, the jump list feature was introduced in Windows 7.
