You're experiencing performance problems with Planetside 2 at 60 FPS on 720p, especially when using GeForce Experience settings. It might be related to software optimization rather than your graphics card. Check if the issue persists across different games or settings.

Checking the updates... Optimizations applied recently mean the drivers should be current. Let me know if you need further details.

I rarely know if they receive updates anymore. That app that alerts me about new versions seems to be gone! What if it only offered general improvements? I’m still using the display drivers from the disc with my GPU. I haven’t felt the need to update, and when I do, I forget within an hour. I’ll install them right now—I just checked and they’re the latest. Strange, since before I updated I experienced better performance.

Reinstall the system from scratch. Opt for a standard setup rather than using express installation methods on NVidia. Avoid adding 3D, sound, or networking drivers from this source—they often don’t work well. Instead, perform a clean install without relying on removal tools, which I’ve found unreliable. In the NVidia Control Panel, adjust settings directly: tweak 3D options and switch quality controls to performance mode. Fine-tune in-game quality settings to match your needs. If you reach your desired performance level, further customize within the panel for specific games. Consider disabling GeForce Experience optimization if you want full control. This approach lets you manage game behavior without external driver interference.

I just realized I didn't include my GPU. I have a GTX 780.
