So, my gaming setups used to rely on optiplexes with GPU upgrades. Now I’ve been focusing on sleeper cases and building rigs purely for entertainment. There are some unique needs for this project, so I’m looking for guidance on key features. - Based on the case specs, the motherboard must be micro ATX. I’m considering an AMD Ryzen 5 8600G but open to alternatives. - I still enjoy physical media and plan to add a 5.25" Slim Slot Load optical drive. Since it’s slim, I’ll need an adapter for a full-size bay with four USB 3.0 ports. I’m planning to connect my Vive link box internally via a 3.5" floppy bay, so I’ll need a dongle inside the case for remote control. Storage requirements aren’t huge—most media is kept on a media server. I’m thinking a 1TB M.2 drive for system components, with GPU and Ethernet in PCI, plus onboard WiFi and Bluetooth. Anyone have a recommended board?
