My RAM indicates it works only with Intel processors, yet the site claims compatibility with AMD ones as well. I’m unsure which one to go with because I prefer the cheaper AMD option. RAM model: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X 8GB DDR4 3600MHZ The box:

DDR4-3600 seems unlikely to fit 1000 or 2000 series Ryzen chips—the memory controllers aren't sufficient unless you're lucky. It should likely function with 3000 series processors, with a 90% chance. A 5000 series CPU is probably a safe bet.

Join the discussions! YoungBlade is right. Older AMD models tend to be a bit stubborn with RAM. It might function, though there could be problems. Expect smooth performance from 3000 and higher.

It might have been better to specify "work at 3600 speeds." The chances of the RAM working with older Ryzen CPUs are decent, but it's unlikely to run smoothly on a Ryzen 7 1700 or similar low-end models. You could probably lower its speed to DDR4-2933 or DDR4-2800 and still get it to function.
