Not sure which one you're looking for...
In a week (payday!) I'm gathering all the components for my first build. I'm stuck choosing between the x570 Aorus Elite and the x570 Asus TUF Gaming (no Wi-Fi). Different websites give conflicting advice. One forum praises the Elite, while others favor the TUF gaming model. I'm really confused now... It's going to be a gaming PC with a Ryzen 7 3700X, if that's important.
I prefer a 570 over a 450. I’m happy with the other components I chose. It’s hard to pick a motherboard right now. Apparently the TUF model offers more SATA ports, which many found significant. I’m not sure what SATA actually does—after checking online, it seems to relate to storage devices. Why would someone need multiple SSDs or HDDs? (I’m still getting familiar with PC parts) I also saw that the Elite model includes Intel LAN, which some people thought mattered. But again, I’m not clear on what that means.
The SATA ports are designed for SSDs, HDDs, and optical drives like DVD players. Both 6 and 8 ports seem sufficient for most users. Intel LAN connections are usually reliable and don’t need special attention. This could be considered a positive point, though it’s not a major focus here.
In my setup, I’d likely need just two SATA ports—one for the HDD and one for the SSD. I’m skipping Intel Lan and focusing on other options. Regarding the RGB lights, I’m wondering if the motherboards can handle all the connections or if the lights are built into the parts. It’s a bit confusing, but I’m trying to keep things simple. I’ve been saving for a while now and want everything to be perfect. This will probably be my first build, maybe the last one for a few years.
You're receiving a M.2 SSD. Your power supply is a Corsair RM (2019) 750W 80+ Gold unit.
