In short, I'm looking for a budget range of $175 to $210 and have found three motherboards that fit that price point: MSI B450 TOMOHAWK MAX, MSI B450M MORTAR MAX, and MSI B450M Bazooka Max WiFi. Since I’m not very familiar with motherboards, I wanted advice from someone more experienced. Let me know your thoughts.
I suggest Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS as an ATX board, priced around 205$. You might find cheaper options elsewhere, but in my country it fits that price range. This chipset supports Gen4 PCIe, making it future-proof for upgrading to better GPUs later. It’s compatible with AM4 boards, though Gen4 performance isn’t optimal with the latest cards right now. Still, it should improve over time. P.S. It also includes a Gen4 slot.
Unfortunately I can't access that information because I'm checking my websites for my country in South Africa. I found a motherboard on one site, but it's much more expensive than Amazon and exceeds my budget. Shipping adds to the cost too.
I understand the budget is tight. Could you share the websites you're using? That way I can review your options (aiming under R3000). It would also help if you mentioned your current specs so I can suggest alternatives accordingly.
