Not sure which motherboard fits this project best—need some guidance!
Looking for options under $120 with a minimum of six fan headers.
I should note the motherboard requires a BIOS flashback since I don’t have an older CPU. Are there any comparable models that include this feature?

Consider replacing the SSD with an NVMe (not SATA) plus a 850W power supply, which could also accommodate a 6900X model since it’s around $600 on eBay. Boards picked were chosen for their appearance and affordability; a used B450 around $60 would work well, though a B450 Pro4 might offer more value. A used GTX 1650 is an option but may not be as beneficial compared to investing in a GPU. The B550 appears to be a newer model that should support Ryzen 5000 out of the box. Builds have been refined for better performance, and you won’t notice major changes with a 3600 CL16 since the CPU’s primary impact is limited. Avoid getting caught up in minor tweaks unless you’re really committed.
It's acceptable. The alternative seems similar to the B550M-DS3H, which is slightly more affordable, though MSI's BIOS would be preferable over Gigabyte's options.
