I recently updated Windows and it restarts, showing a message about failing to configure updates. It takes around 15 minutes to reset and restart. This happens twice before you can boot normally. How can I resolve this issue?
i have exactly the same problem, it is a huge ~700MB update for windows 8.1 that fails upon startup (KB2919355). its driving me nuts and there is very little information to be had about what's actually wrong. also the font of a my system seems to have changed very slightly. texts that were normal before are now in bold or cursive. the last changes made were installing lightworks.
This appears to be the latest version for Windows 8.1, introducing several new functionalities. You might want to attempt a system restore and then reinstall the update again if needed.
If the update is affecting you, skip installing it. A functional device is preferable to one that isn’t working.
