Hi there! I'm just starting out with PC gaming and using the PlayStation 1. I've got an Xbox One now and am moving toward PC. Are controllers usually preferred for PC or is it okay to use a console on my PC? I enjoy playing GTA and Battlefield. Thanks!

I rely on a controller for GTA, while the battlefield uses keyboard and mouse (generally any FPS).

Many individuals who change often use controllers on their PCs, it's quite common. I have several friends who enjoy playing FIFA using controllers.

They often mention how precise a mouse is, though it takes some time to get used to the transition.

In GTA I I rely on a controller for movement, using keyboard and mouse for everything else. It’s great since they made it easy to switch between controls instantly. Most other platformers or third-person titles use the controller, while FPS games stick to keyboard and mouse.

Everyone has their own tastes. Those who rely on others' choices are foolish.

It's not something to be ashamed of, and even if it were, you shouldn't worry about what others think. Best to apply each control type where it works best. A mouse and keyboard offer precision, making them ideal for first-person shooters and strategy titles. Analog sticks tend to handle vehicles more smoothly. I personally enjoy using my Xbone controller in many 2D games like Shovel Knight and Fez. You can play Battlefield with a controller, but you might find keyboard and mouse players overwhelming. The game generally balances well on consoles with aim assistance, though this seems missing on PC. GTA should work fine with a gamepad, though your aiming might feel slower compared to other PC players.

The controller will improve the game in GTA V, with the exception of shooting. That’s why I’m using it.
