I own a desktop used as my primary workstation. I travel with it twice weekly, powering it off completely. It functioned properly initially. Upon returning, it failed to display content. The small fan spins at full speed continuously. All connections appear secure. I’ve reset everything, removed the graphics card, and even extracted HDMI from the motherboard in case of a hardware issue, but nothing resolved the problem. Any advice? (It’s housed in an XTIA open case. Refer to images for additional details) This was also shared on Reddit. Summary of their recommendations: reinserted RAM and SSD.

Replace the CPU whenever possible. Sometimes movement during travel can lead to problems. If the issue persists, check for error codes or lights.

The motherboard appears dark based on what I observe and the manual, yet the CPU remains functional despite the AIO being attached or restricting movement.

After extensive travel and shaking, it's definitely possible. If the Debug LED isn't working, check for a DEBUG connector with a small sound module. Otherwise, you'll need to test each component individually until you identify the issue before swapping the board.

They recommended removing the CMOS battery. The battery is heat shrink wrapped and hard to reach. The manual mentions you can bypass the leads on this ROG FOS-ll card to reset the CMOS, but only as a last option—warning it might damage the motherboard. I'm planning a full disassembly and reattachment of all components. After that, I'll jump the CMOS connections again. I'll let you know once the reassembly is done.

You were right! After repositioning and plugging everything back in, I applied some thermal paste and reinserted the CPU. It worked perfectly. The stands for the AIO pump were a bit too loose, which made it shake during transport—likely shifting the CPU slightly.
