Not possible to upgrade Windows 10 to version 1909
I've been dealing with this problem for two years. Whenever I attempt to upgrade to a newer Windows version, I consistently encounter the BSOD saying "kmode exception not handled." Even after a successful update, I’m limited to using the new version for just 10 to 15 minutes before it crashes again. I’ve replaced my SSD and reinstalled Windows from the creation tool, but nothing seems to work. After about 15 minutes of trying to set up my computer, the BSOD reappears. Anyone have any suggestions?
Your issue might stem from an old driver problem. Open Device Manager and check for any reported issues; a yellow triangle indicates a problem. Often, Windows doesn't flag problems because everything seems fine and Microsoft lacks the newest drivers. You have two options: download a driver update program—many are available—or visit each manufacturer's site to obtain the right drivers. For convenience, try a driver update app; most offer free trials for testing one driver before paying, which can cover all at once after payment. If you prefer not to pay, list the outdated drivers and purchase updates from the developers, as they need to earn their income. Even with a fresh installation from the maker, my experience shows around 40 drivers were still outdated after the initial Windows update.
Appreciate the prompt response. I’m using Obit Driver Booster to refresh my drivers, and everything is now up-to-date within the Device Manager window.
