I've attempted to take out the screw for about half an hour. I think it might be the wraith stock cooler, though I'm not entirely certain.

Do you have the right diameter of screwdriver? Phillips screws are designed to come out when the screwdriver isn’t the correct size, so choose one that fits properly.

I think that trying various sizes hasn't improved anything.

This indicates a potential issue with the screw heads, possibly affecting the cooler or the motherboard. Are you attempting to remove the plastic components securing the cooler or the motherboard from the case? I'm assuming the cooler shouldn't be attached to the motherboard directly.

The cooler I own doesn't employ the plastic components that are fastened straight onto the motherboard as per the guidelines provided during installation.

Thanks for the clarification, but it seems the thermal paste was actually keeping it in place. Haha!
